The teacher service commission is a Kenyan organization that is mandated by the Kenyan constitution to employ, promote, register and pay teachers. TSC is also responsible for deregistering and punishing teachers.
Any teacher who is found guilty of breaching any of the TSC code of conduct of 2015 is at risk of punishment or worse interdiction.

2. Chronic absenteeism
They include;
Coming late to school/duty
Absenteeism without the administration’s permission

3. Desertion of duty
Desertion of duty according to the Teacher’s Service Commission means being absent from duty without the administration’s permission for fourteen consecutive days.

Failing to report to a newly stationed school
Going for a study leave without official release
Failing to report to school after a study leave.

4. Insubordination
It means failure to obey instructions from education supervisors.
Failure to appropriately respond to letters sent by supervisors

7. Embezzlement/ misappropriation of public funds.

Negligence leading to loss of funds

8. Forgery
Making payments to absent teachers
Failure to report any teacher with an offence
