If elections for governor and senator in Kisii county were held right now, the Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) candidates would win, according to Tifa study.
According to a poll released on Thursday, ODM’s Simba Arati is now leading the race for governor with 66% of the vote, followed by Ezekiel Machogu of the United Democratic Alliance with 11%.
Former senator Chris Obure (Jubilee) comes in third with 3%, while current senator Sam Ongeri arrives in fourth with 2%. He ties with Samson Oyongo.
15% of voters are still unsure of their vote.
With 27% of the vote, Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka is leading the race for the Senate. James Omingo Magara (Jubilee) is in second place with 9%, and the current deputy governor Joash Maangi (UDA) is in third place with 5%.
Evans Emori, Richard Atemba, Samuel Okemwa, and Dominic Onderi are all tied at 1%.
However, there are still 51% of voters in the senate election who are still uncertain.
Elsewhere in Nyamira county,If elections were held today, Amos Nyaribo of the UPA would win the position of governor , according to a Tifa survey.
According to the poll that was issued on Thursday, Nyaribo would successfully defend his seat by winning 36% of the vote, while Walter Nyambati would only manage to receive a pitiful 19%.
According to the poll, Ben Momanyi of Wiper would receive 9% of the vote, Timothy Bosire of ODM would receive 11%, and Mwancha Okioma of Jubilee would receive 9%.
James Gesami would on the other hand score below one per cent.
Undecided voters were 22 per cent.
In the presidential race, Azimio’s flag bearer Raila Odinga’s popularity in the county has risen by 20 per cent while that of his closest rival William Ruto of UDA has dropped.
The survey indicates that Raila’s popularity now stands at 58 per cent compared to Ruto’s 26 per cent.
Undecided voters were 17 per cent.
In the senate race, Eric Okong’o Mogeni polled 39 per cent, Kennedy Mong’areOkong’o (13%), Nyambega Mose (7%), Adams Mochenwa 1%).
Undecided voters were 32 per cent.
Jerusha Momanyi is the most preferred Women Representative candidate with 28 per cent of the vote.
