Additionally, he revealed that he used to pay his fees by working in the late President Mwai Kibaki’s campaigns in 2007.

Sakaja added that upon getting the money to finish his studies, he was too embarrassed to return to school.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) gubernatorial candidate added he has plans of going back to complete his studies.

“I studied actuarial science for four years. There is a document they keep spreading of students who are to be discontinued and it shows you the reason was about fees.

“It is a difficult process as there are a few units that I did not complete but the ceremony is not what confers the knowledge to you. By the time, I was able to go back to class, I was too embarrassed. That is something that I will still go back and complete as it is about three to four units,” he stated.

Further, he accused the deep state for his woes at the institution citing UoN’s move to remove him from the list of alumni.

Sakaja claimed that he received calls from several staff members who told him that they were receiving pressure from some quarters to have his details at the institution removed.

“There is no law that says that I have to bring a degree from the University of Nairobi.”

The senator maintained that his degree from Teams University was authentic adding that he was waiting for the courts to determine the matter on his eligibility to run for office.
