Speaking at the Joseph Kang’ethe Primary School in Kibra on Tuesday, November 29, Ruto assured candidates that there would be no disruptions as they sit the exams.

“We have mobilised enough security to ensure that the exams go as planned because this is a very important moment for our nation.

“Each examination centre will have officers to ensure that there are no incidences, distraction, disruption and that students have an opportunity to have their examination in a tranquil environment,” Ruto stated.

He also reassured parents that the decision on the placement of Grade Six pupils to junior secondary schools would be reached before the 2023 academic year.

“Shortly we will be agreeing on how to transit into the next level. A decision is going to be made in the short term so that you will know the fate of those in Grade Six and Seven,” he confirmed.

Ruto issued the declaration a day before Raila’s first rally scheduled to take place at the Kamukunji Grounds, Nairobi.

The President was accompanied by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki and Education boss Ezekiel Machogu.

On November 28, he castigated the Opposition Chief for lobbying for four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) at the expense of the peace of Kenyans.

“Street demonstrations and street fights are elements of a dictatorial opposition. No one is going to threaten and blackmail me to do what they want. I will do what Kenyans want,” he stated.
