According to a Radio Africa Group poll, the DP has maintained its lead in areas that overwhelmingly supported him and President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 and 2013 elections.
The DP is also gaining traction in Western Kenya, where ODM leader Raila Odinga has won three general elections in a row.

In the poll, 47.4 percent of respondents said they would vote for Raila as president if elections were held today, compared to 43.4 percent who said they would vote for Ruto.
