Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja has asked the IEBC tribunal to dismiss the complaint filed against him over his academic certificates.
Sakaja claims to have a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Team University in Uganda, according to his response to the complaint.
He also claims that Team University is located in Uganda and is duly recognized by the Ugandan government.
“My qualifications and academic credentials are not in doubt having affirmed through a lawful process,” reads the papers
He also refuted the names used in the complaint, claiming that he is not Johnson Koskei Sakaja, as claimed in the complaint.
“The complaints herein are legally incompetent and fatally defective because they were filed outside of the prescribed statutory timeliness,” he claims.
Sakaja argues that the allegations that he did not graduate from Team University are unfounded, claiming that other pages of the graduation certificate that bear his graduation credentials were omitted.
Dennis Gakuu Wahome has sued Sakaja for allegedly not having the necessary educational qualifications.
