The only counties with more than a million registered voters are Nairobi, Nakuru, and Kiambu.
The most voters, 2,415,310, are registered in Nairobi, followed by 1,275,008 in Kiambu and 1,054,856 in Nakuru, according to the Gazetted Register of Voters.
This is an increase in the number of registered voters. In 2017, Nairobi recorded 2,251,929 voters, Kiambu 1,180,920 and 949,618 voters in Nakuru.
In addition, Kakamega has 844,551 registered voters, Meru has 772,139, Machakos has 687,565, Bungoma has 646,598, Mombasa has 641,913, Kisii has 637,010, and Murang’a has 620, 928 in the recently registered voters
