Fire has burnt down dormitories at Kisumu High school located at the Kisumu city central business district
From the Saturday morning incident no cases of injuries were reported
The source of the 9am fire was unknown, as school officials could not be reached for comment.
Frightened parents in and around Kisumu rushed to school to confirm the safety of their children after receiving information about the fire.
The Kisumu county Fire Department has successfully managed to extinguish the inferno.
Police and the school administration are yet to issue statement on the cause of the fire
