Key Allocation Of Funds In Uhuru’s Last Budget

Ukur Yatani, Treasury Cabinet Secretary, delivered the 2022/23 budget at parliament buildings on Thursday.

The budget is the final one under President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.

The predicted expenditure for the fiscal year 2022/23 is Sh3.3 trillion, while revenue generated is expected to be Sh2.4 trillion.

This leaves the government with a Sh900 billion deficit to deal with in order to stay afloat.

Security sh317.8 Billlion

IEBC sh21.7 billion

Affordable houses sh27.7billion

Food security sh46.7 billion

Health sh 146.8 billion

Transport and infrastructure sh 212.5 billion
