Edward Mwachinga, who was recently appointed by Deputy President William Ruto to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance economic task committee, has died.
The lawyer is alleged to have passed out in his Nairobi home on Tuesday.
Mwachinga was diagnosed with a heart disease a year ago, according to a family member, and has been having treatment both in and out of the country.
“We lost him last night at about 11 pm. He had been diagnosed with a heart problem about one year ago,” said Emmanuel Washe, an uncle of Mwachinga.
The body was taken to Montezuma Funeral Home, according to Washe.
Mwachinga also served on the national elections board of the Pamoja African Alliance Party.
He also served on the board of Vipingo Development Limited, a Centum Limited subsidiary.
Edward began his career as a tax advisor with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001.
