At the top of the list are Hon Mike Sonko and Ferdinand Waititu. After being impeached from their positions a few years ago, the two former Jubilee governors have been banned.

Other politicians have been blocked, in addition to Ferdinand Waititu and Mike Sonko. Hon Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, the Kapseret MP, is one of them, and his ability to run for public office is being questioned due to his academic level.

Mr. Ayub Savula, who wants to be the deputy governor of Kakamega, Mr. Patrick Musimba, who wants to succeed Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, and MPs John Waluke (Sirisia), Samuel Arama (Nakuru Town West), Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills).

Also, Rashid Echesa, a former Cabinet Secretary, who is eyeing the Mumias West parliamentary seat.

The EACC has been notified of these leaders’ identities for further inquiry. These leaders will be barred from voting in the August general elections if the EACC finds them ineligible to hold any office.
