Step one:
With a browser of your choice, example, chrome, search on the TSC website. (www.tsc.go.ke)
Navigate to the online services and click on the Teacher Transfer tab.

Step two:
Carefully fill in your personal details; your TSC number, National Identity number, your phone number and click on the login tab.

Step three:
After completing the above given steps, a six (6) digit code will be sent to you via the mobile number you provided. Copy and paste or manually enter the code and then login.

Step four:
The system will automatically detect if you’re a primary or a post primary teacher after you’ve successfully logged in.

Step five:
After detection, click on the “submit a request for transfer” to continue.

Step six:

Enter all the relevant details and read through the declaration box and click “OK”
Your current station and the requested station (county) will be displayed onscreen.
On the “file attachment button” add any documents as proof in case your reason for transfer is insecurity or medical related issues.

Step seven:
After attachment of the documents, the attachments will be displayed onscreen. Countercheck the documents to make sure they are relevant and then submit. After a successful application, the application status will read as pending. The changes will take place time to time so it is important for you to login regularly to check.

Step eight: logout of the system.

After a successful application the Head of Institution (HOI) will receive the requests via email and/or the HOI portal. If you are the head of the institution below is a guide on how you can go about the process.

1. The institution’s email notification:

Open your email. Click on the link provided and give your comments and submit.

2. Via the HOI portal.

  • Click on the online services at the TSC portal, select on the HRMIS tab and the teacher transfer tab.
  • Enter any relevant details (your tsc no, id no, and phone number.)
  • Enter the 6-digit code sent to the number you provided and login
  • Any incoming transfer requests will display in the HOI portal. Enter your comments on the same and give a recommendation and submit.
