The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) suspended the continuous voter registration on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
In a gazette notice, the IEBC announced the suspension of new registration as well as the change of registration of voters both in Kenya and the disapora from May 4 until March 13, 2023. This is to allow the important process of verification.
Voters have between May 4 and July 8,2022 to check your details in the voters’ roll.
You can verify your voter registration details through two ways:
- Send your ID or Passport number, depending on which you used to register, to the number 70000.
- Visit the IEBC portalverify.iebc.or.ke
If you find that your details have not been captured correctly, visit your registration centre to have them corrected.
